Personal Bio
I'm Divya and a culturally-sensitive counselling psychologist. I work with young adults and older adults. (Age 17-35) I believe in holistic well-being, hence my approach is eclectic. I lean more toward post-modern, humanistic and solution-focused approaches. Every individual is unique and so are their needs and concerns, hence I take what I can from different modalities. For me, therapy is a process of expression and acceptance of your authentic self. I believe everyone should have a space where they can express themselves unabashedly and reflect upon their thoughts and feelings. My focus is to create that safe space for my clients. I believe, going to therapy does not mean anything is 'wrong' with the individual, infact it means that the person has the courage to confront their feelings, past issues and the will to heal, develop and learn more about themselves. I'm here to make the process of healing easier for you?? My practice adopts a trauma-informed lens, is culturally sensitive and queer-affirmative.
